Our school environment is a fundamental part of our children's learning experience.
Block building bridges the world of pretend and reality. It provides for spatial relationships, opportunities for sharing and develops large and small muscle control.
Dramatic play allows children to re-enact experiences and stories, fears and feelings. It allows children to try out different roles and promotes cooperation.
Clay encourages fine motor development so important for writing. As children squeeze and mold the clay their fingers are being strengthened.
Cutting and pasting also offer opportunity for fine motor development and creativity.
Outdoor play helps children develop an awareness of their bodies in relation to balance, strength and coordination.
Water play encourages measurement, sensory experiences, observation and prediction.
